Early Life and Career
Jamal Lewis was born on August 29, 1979, in Atlanta, Georgia. He attended Tennessee State University, where he broke several school football records.
In 2000, Lewis was drafted fifth overall by the Baltimore Ravens.
NFL Success
Lewis quickly became a star in Baltimore. In 2003, he set the NFL single-game rushing record with 295 yards on 30 carries against the Cleveland Browns.
Lewis's exceptional talent and contributions helped the Ravens earn their first Super Bowl victory in 2000.
Legacy
Jamal Lewis played nine seasons in the NFL, rushing for over 10,000 yards and scoring 80 touchdowns.
