Breaking News: Duden Updates Content Policy for Abstimmung

Stricter Guidelines on User-Generated Content

Important Changes for Publishers and Users

Berlin, Germany - The Duden online dictionary has announced major updates to its content policy for "Abstimmung" (voting). The new guidelines aim to combat the spread of misinformation and hate speech related to elections and other forms of democratic processes.

Key Changes:

  • Prohibition of content that incites violence, discrimination, or voter suppression.
  • Stricter moderation of user-generated comments and discussions.
  • Enhanced fact-checking and verification measures for search results and other content.

"We are committed to providing accurate and reliable information on Abstimmung," said Dr. Annette Klosa, editor-in-chief of Duden. "These policy updates reflect our responsibility to protect our users from harmful content and to promote informed decision-making."

The new policy will be enforced immediately and will apply to all content related to voting and elections, including definitions, articles, and comments.
