Coming in 2024, Astro Bot Rescue Mission's Sequel Promises Over 50 Exciting and Diverse Worlds

At Sony's State of Play presentation, first-party studio Team Asobi announced a new Astro Bot game releasing in 2024 for PS5. This new adventure is described as a brand-new supersized adventure set across more than 50 exciting and diverse worlds.

Astro Bot first appeared in 2018's Astro Bot Rescue Mission, a critically acclaimed platform game exclusive to PlayStationVR. The game featured Captain ASTRO on a mission to rescue his crewmates from an evil robot king. Players controlled Astro from a third-person perspective, using the PSVR's motion controls to interact with the environment and solve puzzles.

In 2020, Astro Bot became the star of Astros Playroom, a free demo that came with every PS5 console. This game helped players get acquainted with the new tech of the PS5, featuring a variety of gameplay mechanics and showcasing the console's capabilities.
